Anthony Carabelli, Jr. 
Business Advocate – County of Mercer (NJ)

Mr. Carabelli currently serves as the Business Advocate for the County of Mercer’s Office of Economic Development and Sustainability. In this capacity, he manages several County business programs and services including the Mercer County Loan Fund, site selection services and the Mercer County business training program.  

Prior to this position, Mr. Carabelli served as the Director of Economic Development in the City of Trenton’s Department of Housing and Economic Development. 

In addition to his duties with Mercer County, he serves as a member of the Georgetown Alumni Interview Committee, the Small Business Development Center Advisory Board, Princeton Chamber Convention and Visitors Board, the New Jersey Economic Development Association and the Regional Business Assistance Corporation Board and Loan Committee.

Mr. Carabelli received his Master of Arts from The Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies in Washington, DC, and Bologna, Italy, and his Bachelor of Science from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service in Washington, DC.  

He currently resides in Hamilton with his wife, Sharon, and their two children, Dominic and Dante.
