Princeton Merchants Association

Our mission is to create a vibrant and sustainable local economy in Princeton by attracting, nurturing, and maintaining a mix of businesses that serve the economic, social and material needs of our community and make Princeton a great place to live and work.

Ivy Inn

Serving Princeton since 1966, under the same family name, the Ivy Inn is one of Princeton's longest running family owned and operated businesses.  Then 25 year old bartender, Dick McCluskey, purchased the bar operating at 254 Nassau Street that year.  In January, 1975 he moved the bar to 248 Nassau Street, which had until then been home to the Flying 'A' gas station.  Dickey would faithfully serve the working men and women of this community for 30 years, until his death in 1996.  Since that time his family has strived to continue to grow the family business while preserving that indescribable realness.  In January, 2013 we took the next step by opening our kitchen.  With the addition of quality fresh food, at an unmatched price point, the Ivy continues to attract a diverse and loyal clientele many of whom we are proud to call our friends.  So whether it's a relaxed lunch stop, a place to let off some steam after work over a beer and a burger, or you're out on the town for the night--the Ivy Inn is sure to please. Our slogan sums it up: "Where Every Hour is Happy Hour"
